Vega

I led the creation of “Vega,” a modern, scalable design system for MGM Resorts International, helping unify the brand while supporting over 60 teams across the organization.

As Design Director, I led a cross-functional team in building “Vega,” a design system created to bring consistency, scalability, and a forward-looking perspective to MGM Resorts International’s digital ecosystem. The goal was to honor the company’s rich brand legacy while evolving it to meet the expectations of a changing audience, as Las Vegas continues to shift toward a more diverse and family-friendly destination.

I worked closely with the team to guide the system from the ground up—shaping everything from foundational elements like color and typography to a tokenized structure that could scale across platforms. A key focus was creating a system that felt cohesive but flexible, allowing teams to move faster while maintaining a consistent, high-quality experience.

Throughout the process, I focused on supporting the team and setting a clear direction, ensuring we stayed aligned on both craft and long-term vision. Vega was ultimately adopted by more than 60 teams, becoming the most robust and widely used design system in the company’s history and establishing a strong foundation for future growth.
